2012 Kicks Off Some Exciting Events!!
Here at KeytoSavannah.com we want to make sure that you are prepared for everything that Savannah has to offer in 2012. As always you can find daily, weekly and monthly events on our comprehensive event calendar, but here are a few major events that are sure to interest everyone.
PULSE, Telfair Museums’ Art and Technology Festival will be back in 2012 in a new time slot and with a lineup of exciting exhibitions, performances, lectures, workshops, and events celebrating technology and creative innovation. The 2012 featured exhibitor is sculptor Leo Villareal and is organized by the San Jose Museum of Art.
This free event starts February 27th and concludes March 4th. Each day the festival will last from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade
This is arguably the most anticipated annual event in the city and without question the most attended. The Parade generally has an attendance in excess of 450,000 spectators, but, with the parade falling on a Saturday this year, Savannah will likely welcome far more guests than in recent years.
This is sure to be one of the best St. Patrick’s Days in recent memory so plan for a long day with lots of people enjoying the Parade!
Savannah Music Festival
Savannah is proud to host Georgia’s largest music and arts festival. With visitors and performers from all over the country the Savannah Music Festival has continued to grow since its inception in 2003. The Festival dates are officially March 22-April 7, but the organization brings stellar acts to the city year round.
