Fee Free Days at Fort Pulaski in 2011
Fort Pulaski released a news announcement that in 2011, they will be offering Fee Free days on 17 different days in the new year! Joining all other national parks across America, Fort Pulaski National Monument will be waiving entrance fees on some special dates. National Park Service Director Jonathan Jarvis stated, "In these tough economic times, we added fee free days as a way to ensure everyone has the opportunity to visit a park. I encourage everyone to sample a new park or revisit an old favorite." Surrounded by marshes and woodland, and with a magnificent view of the Savannah River, Fort Pulaski is one of Savannah's favorite forts. The fort has over 5,000 acres of beautiful, natural land to explore and learn about the history of Fort Pulaski, Savannah, and historic battles.
