Get your Greek on, Savannah!
Thursday gets kicked off the Greek Festival starting up at 11 am. Things get swinging at the Hellenic Community Center at 14 W Anderson St. There will be Greek Music all day by “Nick Demos and the Greek Islanders” and there will be performances by Zoe, Savannah’s own Greek Dancers at 7pm. Another great event will be Women’s Night Out and a free concert by Candy Coburn at 7pm. Coburn will be performing her song “Pink Warrior.” Proceeds for drink sales at the event will go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. Two Gentleman and a Band will be performing at The Sentient Bean at 8pm and don’t forget open mic night at The Wormhole Bar at 9:30 pm.
The Greek Festival gets going again at 11 am on Friday. More music “Nick Demos and the Greek Islanders” and performances by Zoe at 7 and 8 pm. The 11th Annual Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival starts Friday night at 5pm. Come out and enjoy great seafood, music and fun all weekend. The festival runs until Sunday afternoon at 5pm. Bonnie Raitt goes on stage at the Savannah Civic Center at 7:30 PM and don’t forget the Tybee Island Lighthouse Ghost Tour this weekend at 8 pm. Make your reservations now so you don’t miss out!
Saturday morning starts out bright and early with the Forsyth Farmers’ Market in Forsyth Park at 9 am and the 13th Annual Tybee Festival of the Arts starts at 10 am. And since it’s October and people are feeling spooktacular, there will be a paranormal investigation class at Moon River Brewing Co. Saturday night at 7 pm.
The 13th Annual Tybee Festival of the Arts continues at 10 am and the Jepson Center of the Arts will have the Jepson Gospel Brunch at 12:30 pm. Finish off your Sunday at Salon Jolie with the opening reception for Portraits of Influence at 7 pm. AWOL Poetry Open Mic closes up Sunday evening at 7pm at the The Sentient Bean.
