Nourish your skin, Savannah!
I thought I had just discovered the wonders of Nourish recently, but it turns out I've been burning one of their candles in my home for the last few months. A good friend brought me a wonderful soy wax candle - I never knew where they got it and I always meant to ask... turns out it was just a short bike ride from my front door this whole time! Nourish of Savannah is located at 202 W. Broughton Street on the corner of Barnard and Broughton and even if you live outside Downtown, it is so very much worth the drive.
I first stopped in Nourish a few weeks ago and have already been back on numerous occasions. My first purchase at Nourish was a birthday present for my mother. I picked everything out only to decide to get the same thing for me - my skin needed love, too! Nourish specializes in handmade, hand-crafted products made right in their store - and with vanilla raspberry and coffee scented soaps, you can spend all day smelling each and every aroma in the store... and I'm pretty sure I've tried. The managers and employees at Nourish are also gems. They are patient, friendly and more than willing to answer any questions you might have.
If you go, be sure to ask about their Dead Sea salt body scrubs (and do an in-store test scrub on your hands!) Don't forget to get a wiff of their soy candles, all natural and glycerin soaps and bath fizzies. Getting a gift for your out of town friend? Be sure to ask about the local 'flavors' of Savannah Bee Mint Julep and Moon River Savannah Fest all natural, herbal soaps. My recommendations? I bought the dead seal salt scrub in Rosemary Mint for me and Coconut Lime for my mother - both are amazing and fairly priced. Unlike other stores that offer handmade (and beautifully fragranced) soaps and candles, Nourish won't break your budget.
Next time you're on Broughton Street, make a point to stick your head in and take a look around. And hey, smelling all these delicious soaps can work up an appetite. Find a lunch stop near Nourish with our interactive map - go head, make a whole trip out of it. You're skin and your tummy will thank you.
