Rain, Rain - Go Away!
I think my favorite Savannah activity on a rainy day would have to be coffee and people watching. (Yes, I'm one of those.) Lucky for me, Savannah coffee shops are some of the best around - and they're equipped with large windows just meant for people-watching. If you're downtown, Gallery Espresso on Bull Street offers their house coffee, the Bull Street Blend, as well as other flavors of the day. Grab a yummy baked good (the sugar cookies are delicious) and scooch on over to one of the comfy, high-backed chairs near the east window for an afternoon of people watching. Gallery Espresso also boasts a gallery of artwork if you're so inclined.
If you're near Forsyth, try the Sentient Bean. The Bean also sports a great atmosphere and windows looking out onto Park Avenue and Forsyth Park. Friendly baristas, 100% fair trade and organic coffee and awesome events (like open mic nights) make time spent at the Sentient Bean a joy.
But there's more to a rainy day than just coffee and a good book - what are some of your favorite things to do in Savannah on a rainy day? Comment below and let us know!
