Sniffing Out Le Snoot
When seeing the Le Snoot logo—a pig—I think of a pig sniffing out truffles.
Sniffing out truffles is a talent that only pigs possess, because only pigs know the unique smell associated with something of such great rarity. Point being, that Le Snoot has the talent to sniff out great unique art for the public.
Le Snoot is located in a cozy little corner of Mabel Francis Potter's Cupcake Emporium.
Among the great cupcakes, contemporary art, and wonderful atmosphere, Le Snoot was crafted in June of 2012 by Logan McDonald, and all while still in college at the local art school, SCAD. Along with Logan's great idea, there was Matt Jackson, Kimberly Valentinsson, and Justin Wilder who worked towards a fun loving art gallery.
Le Snoot started out as a downstairs whole print shop. It was there for anyone who needed to make prints. This is how it started, but it soon morphed into a gallery that inspires, encourages, and welcomes unique spends on art muses.
For example, coming up on April 19, 2013 there will be an art exhibition dedicated to all things Bill Murray. The Le Snoot Gallery will be accepting all things Bill Murray from all artists who are inspired to make Bill look fab in any shape, form or fashion. All submissions will be welcome until April 12, 2013 which is the deadline for the submissions to this art exhibition. Another muse besides Bill Murray that they are using is Joan Rivers. Who would have thought to use such a funny character as Joan Rivers?
Le Snoot is the home of great art exhibitions such as the previous, Heads in Collision, and the Big Bad Print show, both being phenomenal and drawing an incredible crowd. Le Snoot encourages interaction among their artists and art fans, they do many art exhibitions where there is work being done within the gallery itself, thus being used as the art studio in some cases.
With free admission and great quality for your buck, you have no other choice but to go to Le Snoot. Starting in April there will be a show every week and the most recent one will be this Friday March 29, 2013 from 7:30 p.m. till 10:30 p.m., the Tee Party, where they will be featuring 25 different artists from all around the world, who will be custom making tees to sale.
The shirt's designs will be drawn by the artists and printed downstairs at the Le Snoot Gallery.
With these custom made tees you will also get a taste of tea and cupcakes too, courtesy of the Mabel Francis Potter's Cupcake Emporium that is located in the front.
