St. Patrick’s Day Schedule of Events 2010
The Greening of the Fountain gets things started right. Forsyth Park expects a large turnout Friday at Noon as city officials and St. Patrick's Day marshals ceremonially dye the fountain green. The festivities continue out on Tybee Island during the weekend. Tybee's St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place on Saturday at 3:00 pm at Memorial Park on Tybee Island.
A Bit of Blarney:
Cead Mile Failte! (That's "one hundred thousand welcomes" for those who don't know!) Did you know Savannah lays claim to one of the largest St. Patrick's Day celebrations in the country? It's unofficial, but Savannah is said to host the second largest St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the United States, attracting over 300,000 visitors from around the world!
